CETMA is run by one guy in a simple shop without automation, mechanized assembly, robots, lasers, sorcery, superpowers or psychic beavers.  Really.

"Not only has my CETMAcargo rack saved me from turning down over $20 in calls in the last 3 days, but its made me an extra $70".

-Lewis , messenger in Toronto

From Paulus Palmqvzt in Helsinki, Finland:

“As the jobs are getting bigger and veterans backs are getting sorer, comes racks (and Cetma in this case) to the rescue.  I’m bike messenger in Helsinki Finland and the rookie of the year 2000 and I’ve done 5 day weeks most of my career.

In 2008 I noticed that our deliveries were getting bigger. It wasn’t the nice and small envelope anymore, it was more like a thick/full file. Limits of the bag started to be everyday problem.. also the limit of your body under that weight.

In CMWC (Cycle Messenger World Championships) Toronto I saw my first rack in use and I fell for it right away. I ordered basic 5-railer from Lane and put in use right away. It took so much weight of my back and also I could deliver idiot-sized parcels to customers and also prolonged my messenger career.

Couple of times customers even came to see my bike and the rack because they didn’t believe that I was pedaling a bicycle. Cetma also can take harsh winter conditions that Helsinki gives for 4-5 months and Cetma can take a beating. It has been in couple slams and crashes and survived.

Well of course nothing beats a cargo bike when it comes to hauling, but Cetma can take loads of things too.  Right now I’m on my second year of running my own company and I couldn’t do it without a rack (and a cargo bike).

Thank you Lane and Cetma.”

"Hi Lane,

I'm sending you a photo of my latest absurd CETMA experience. I hauled our old television
across town to recycle it. Handling was touch-and-go, but in the end everything worked perfectly.  The Schwinn Voyageur is the fifth frame the rack's been mounted to in the past three years, and the best. The rack remains an essential tool that I depend upon. Thanks!"

-Doug in Seattle.

"Hey Lane, got the rack a couple of days ago
and it's great man, I'm totally stoked,
here is a pic and thanks again!"

-Dave from TCB Courier in San Francisco.

"Hey Lane,

I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for making such an awesome rack. I got the rack yesterday, used it to carry my mandolin to a friends house, carried a 12-pack home this afternoon. Tomorrow my wife and I will be making a recycle run and then to the grocery store on our bikes.
Thanks to your rack and Martina's Pelican bag my county-dump-salvaged Frejus is a true workhorse of a bike.

I attached a couple photos."

Later,

-Tal

"I received, powdercoated, and recently installed my awesome Cetma rack.  You mentioned that I should send some pictures of the rack on my bike, so here they are!  There are a few pictures that I submitted to fixedgeargallery, and a few of the rack in action from today when I was transporting a rather heavy power amplifier to a DJ gig.  The rack performed beautifully!  Thanks for a well-made product."

-Robin

"CETMA racks, for girls with purses. I've also carried, with great success, huge casserole dishes, overflowing grocery bags, DJ gear, and maybe a person or two, but that's secret."

-Amelia in Oregon from Pork Magazine

"Lane,

Thank you so much for the killer 5 rail! The craftsmanship is first rate.
I recently hauled a compressed bail of hay, a heavy tool box, and 35# bag of dog food,
all on different occasions. it performed great every time. I mounted it on a 1983 Peugeot
I snagged from my father-in-law. I converted it to single speed and changed the bars,
brakes, wheels, tires, etc. The rack was the final touch. Attached are some photos.
Thanks again,"

-Jim in Oregon

"Heya Lane!

I've got a Cetma 3-rail that I'm absolutely in love with.
I've carried gigantic boxes of books, a pressure cooker,
and even a live chicken on it."

-Johnny

"i got a 7-rail from Bryan at bicyclerevolutions in philly late in the summer and wanted to send you
a virtual high-five. i am definitely loving the newfound hauling capacity on my daily rig and the
general handsomeness of your stuff."

-Krisada in Philadelphia, PA

"Hi Lane,

I just wanted to tell you that my new rack got here today and it is awesome.
It installed really quickly and easily and looks amazing, the first trial run of it happens soon
and I know it'll make me that much less dependent on cars for my errands.

Thanks again and congrats on making an awesome product. I spent many months looking for a rack
that would fit on my bike, even though it doesn't have eyelets for a front rack. Your racks
are just what I needed and at a price I can afford. I'm a college student that relies on my bike
for the majority of my transportation so having a rack that will allow me to do carry cases of beer
or TP from Costco is very handy.

Thanks and keep up the good work."

"I bought one of your seven rails six or seven months ago.  I'm not sure exactly how long ago.
Four months
ago I went on a bike tour from Arcata, CA to Seattle, WA and used your rack
as my front rack.  It carried two small panniers, a medium timbuk2 "handlebar bag," hundreds
of pounds of firewood, an embarrassing amount of cheap beer, and my feet on a few unusually
luxurious and delightful down-hill roadways.  in other words, your rack is my favorite thing about my bike.
thanks for making it for me.  oh, my buddy also had his rack on the tour.  he liked it a lot too.
i've included some photos of the set-up.  "

"again, thanks for doing what you do.  you are one of the few credits to twenty-first century
Western Civilization."

-Doug in Seattle, WA

"yo man,

i bought one of your racks about 9 months ago it's been invaluable.
i don't know how other people live without one. i recently got a job working nights
with a food delivery service where your rack has been helping me pay the bills.
next bike i get will get another rack! i hope business is going good."

-elliott in boston

"recap on the 7 rail:

so i believe i've had this for about 2 or 3 or so months now, and this has been the outcome.
my weekly paychecks have been consistently over $100 more than pre-cetma rack.
two fellow messengers, and FIVE commuter/utilitarians in line to order a rack
from you (i believe most have ordered already).  3 or 4 people staring at the rack like bike porn A DAY!

my bob trailer will go up for sale come spring time.

once again, thanks!"

"i ordered a bike rack from CETMAracks a little while ago and it just arrived today.  it is amazing...
sturdy, stylish and functional.

...this feels so so so much better than my last basket.  not only is it about a scrillion times stronger,
it keeps the weight lower which makes for a smoother, safer ride.  trust me, it's scientific.

in closing, i strongly encourage every bicyclist to ditch his or her sexy, but ultimately orthopedic
injury inducing messenger bag and invest in a CETMArack.
it's a scientifically proven fact that this rack will make your life more awesome.

OK, fine.  you can keep the bag.  just carry the heavy stuff up front."

-Clare in San Francisco

"I have about a 4 1/2 mile commute through San Francisco, and I like to carry 5 to 10 lbs
of stuff with me everywhere (bike tools, paperwork, U-Lock, clothes for the gym, raingear etc.).
My shoulders were always tense from carrying this stuff in a backpack, so I started looking at panniers.
Eventually I got a heavy-duty CETMA front rack..."

"...I strap my backpack to it with a bungy, and if I ever want to pick up groceries or something,
I put the backpack on, and bungy the groceries to the rack. Sweet."

Lane,

"I just wanted to let you know that I've been very satisfied with my powdercoated 5-rail.
A couple weeks ago some friends and I rode out to Sauvie Island (in North Portland)
to pick vegtables. As you can imagine, we came back with a handful of stuff,
nearly all of which was schelped on the rack. There was at least 20lbs worth of butternut
squash alone. I'm sure this anecdote is a mere blip compared to some of the crazy stories
you've heard by now, but just wanted to share. I've already been
enviously eyeing the 7-rail with the fence, but alas I have no other bike to put it on."

-Alan

"Yes, I’ve joined the ranks of the one’s rolling the front racks by the name of CETMA.
These things are great, so far I’ve hauled a couple boxes of magazines, pretty heavy, but the rack rocked.
Props to CETMA creator, I love being so utilitarian. I used the eyelets on my fork with a bunch of spacers
and washers for a solid fit."

"The first thing I carried with it were a couple of boxes of fragile glassware, a little sketch considering
the result were I to crash or lose my load. But the rack and the cargo net I put on it worked awesome,
no busted rocks glasses, no angry fiancé; win-win!"

Good stuff.  Thanks CETMA

-Michael

"8-Rail baby! This puppy has carried the following for me: 3 18 packs of Pabst; countless
bike messengers (one at a time of course); Bike Polo assistant (he was in charge of the mallet);
4 bags of groceries; My completely full messenger bag; My hopes and dreams;
My feet (when I'm coasting downhill)! Nice work Lane! Everyone should have a bike with a CETMA on it!!"

-Matt Case

"hello, the seven rail kicks ass! I've hauled a bike in a box to a friend,
got 5o pounds of produce, carried a few people, and, and and, YEAH!!
I love this thing, it's so much easier than toting around a bob for work,
and the fact that i can see what I'm carrying is paramount. I currently
have the 7 rail on a pursuit frame which is actually perfect, because it
lowers the item in front of me, so I can see over it (about 2 1/2 inches or
so). and if i want to take the rack off , I just pull the bars off, and switch
them. sure have to use a straight bar to maximize load size, but that's no
biggy.

again, I LOVE THIS THING THANKS!!!"

"after changing cities, i left behind the world of bike messaging for the even more underdog
and unflattering subculture of bicycle food delivery. how far i have sunk..anyway, the transition
for the most part was pretty smooth, except i've always fucking hated using racks and was
suddenly dealing with deliveries that had to be kept upright to prevent spilling crap all over
the road and couldn't just be balanced haphazardly on my handlebars or thrown into a bag.
to cut to the chase, i ended up ordering one of your racks last month and use it every day for
work now. it's easily the lightest weight, least annoying thing i've ever bolted onto my front wheel
and doesn't make steering into a nightmare. because of you, i am slightly less likely to
end up a mess of blood, guts, wingsauce, soda and sandwich condiments on the street.
thanks! i also get asked ever other day it seems where i got the thing. i hope you get
flooded with customers. you do great work."

-Myles

"It's very nice having the CETMA rack on my main city bike, to be able to spontaneously grab and carry weird, bulky items. I've carried suitcases, boxes of groceries, kitty litter, sacks of cat food, weird bulky bike parts, my laundry, my Bailey Bag... it's a fantastic addition.  I've mounted my headlight on one of the fork legs, where it's protected by one of the rack stays and still functional when carrying cargo on the rack. "

-Smasher

"it finally arrived and i love it!!!!!  i love how riding a bike just gets more and more awesome.
much love.  to celebrate the good life, i carried home 31 pounds of fine oregon beer from work."

Lane,

"I just wanted to say that I got my CETMArack in the mail today, and it looks, fits, feels,
and works great!  The best errand I could come up with to test it out was to get two bags
of groceries, a bunch of supplies from the hardware store, and a pile of toilet paper.
As far as my two hours with it have gone, it works beautifully! Also, the peanut butter cookie
from Cara was exceptionally tasty and nice - especially given that my fiancé and I would have
had to give it away had it not been vegan :) Good luck with your by-all-accounts-burgeoning
bicycle rack (and cargo bike?) business, and I'll be sure to send more customers your way
whenever I can."

-Donald in Massachusetts

"Your rack is still mounted firmly on my LHT and carrys 15kg Ortlieb bag
worth over $10,000 in camera gear on a regular basis...bet you never thought people
would do that with a rack :)"

-Joshua in Indonesia
